KW Kim was appointed as the president of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa in January 2006. Previously, he was working as the vice president of LG’s digital media overseas marketing division company in Korea. Kim has been with the company for more than twenty years, and was the first president of its offices in Austria and Hungary.
Earlier this year, LG Electronics announced that it recorded sales of $3.8 billion in 2008 in the Middle East and Africa region, $950 million of which was from the Gulf. The company’s current share in the regional electronics market is around 9 percent.
LG has been marketing heavily in the region, and last year, Kim joined hands with Arab singer…
