The recently replaced US president first came to power in 2001, and was re-elected as president in 2004. The 62-year-old former, who was formerly governor of Texas, spent most of his adult life working for his family’s oil business. He is a Yale graduate.

During his tenure as president, he has been criticized for his handling of numerous issues, including Hurricane Katrina, high gas prices, the Jack Abramoff scandal, the CIA-leak investigation, the Dubai Ports deal, the current state of the economy, and most of all, his war against Iraq.

In 2003, claiming that Iraq had ‘weapons of mass destruction’, Bush ordered an attack on the country. To date the weapons have not been found, a fact that has angered many. During his last press conference in Iraq as the US president, he was also assaulted with a shoe, thrown by journalist…
