The late Saudi Jihadist leader had a passion for religious politics, which led him to join the Afghan War and later, become the founder of the Al Qaeda group.
In 2004, and after denying it for years, Bin Laden claimed responsibility for the September 11 attacks, which rocked the USA and the rest of the world in 2001. After years of searching, he was found and killed by the CIA on May 1, 2011 in a three-story mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
His roots are in the affluent Saudi Bin Laden family. His father, Sheikh Bakr Bin Mohammed Bin Laden is the founder of the largest construction firm in the world – Saudi BinLadin Group, (SBG).
