The American photographer is famous for her ability to get new angles out of her usually famous subjects. Some of Leibovitz’s best known work featured a very pregnant Demi Moore, the Queen and Whoopi Goldberg. Her picture of a naked John Lennon hugging his clothed wife, Yoko Ono, was taken few hours before the former Beatles’ death. The photograph ran on the cover of the Rolling Stone Lennon commemorative issue. In 2005 the American Society of Magazine Editors named it the best magazine cover from the past 40 years.
Her portraits have appeared in Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, and The New Yorker, and in advertisement campaigns for American Express, the Gap, and the Milk Board.
Last year, she was dragged into a controversy after taking semi-nude pictures of the young celebrity…
