The director-cum-producer is most well known for his dark, gothic and bizarre themed movies.

After graduation from high school, he attended the California Institute of the Arts, and started his first job as an animator for Disney. He worked on such films as “The Fox and the Hound” and “The Black Cauldron.” Some of his films, like “Vincent” and “Frankenweenie” did not win much favor with the animation company.

His first full-length feature film, “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” in 1985 was a commercial success, and pushed Burton to fame.

Some of his other famous hits include “Edward Scissorhands,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,” “Ed Wood,” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” all of which he made with actor and friend…
