In 2006, Sama Dubai unveiled “the Middle East’s largest billboard” in Dubai. The hoarding depicted Dubai’s skyline as seen from the Lagoons.
Measuring 400 metres long and 20 metres high, the company claimed that the hoarding would be visible to up to 250,000 motorists a day as they travelled between Junctions Two and Three on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The design and construction of the billboard reportedly involved more than 200 technicians, who took 75 days to develop and put up the structure.
