Steve Jobs and Google CEO Eric Schmidt earlier this year met up for coffee at an outdoor café n Palo Alto, California. The tech websites were keen to analyze their body language and the strategic importance of Jobs and Schmidt choosing to meet in a public place, viewed as more neutral, by observers keen to analyze these sorts of things.
“The only thing that adds up is that neither felt comfortable meeting at each other’s HQs, and this is the start of talks that will inevitably be tense for both sides,” Gizmodo reported.
The seemingly casual cappuccino moment, came with plenty of high profile baggage in tow. The Apple-Google feud has been making headlines for years thanks to “rival smartphones.”
