Do you remember in 2004, 2005, 2006 and maybe even 2007 when Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, repeatedly said that ‘Facebook is free and always will be’? Well, he’s had a change of heart since then, but come on people, who are we to question his decisions?
After all, it’s a brilliant service and it’s been free for almost 9 years now. It’s about time we put a stop to our ‘freeloading’ ways and started chipping in. It’s got more than one billion users, and I am sure that more than half of them will be willing to pay for it. The best things in life are free, but does Facebook make that list?
Here are a few of the other fascinating announcements:
Wamda.com, ‘a platform designed to empower entrepreneurs in the MENA region’, has launched a new ‘Wamda Juice’ for entrepreneurs.
Spinneys in Dubai places a newspaper advert for the exclusive chance to purchase a strange kind of fruit. It’s clearly a genetic mutation of a pear and a papaya.
Nasa’s rover, Curiosity – which is still currently on Mars – has decided to quit Twitter after being abused by ‘internet trolls‘ and realising it just can’t handle the pressure anymore.
Tesco, a UK-based food retailer, has launched The Tesco Value 3D Food Printer that allows you to produce the products you want at home.
