How would these developments affect other Arab countries that have not witnessed strong demonstrations?
My question is, why did this happen in the Middle East (Arab world + Iran 2009) and not in Western Africa or Central America? The only precedent I know occurred in the Philippines in 1986 and 2001 – People Power I and II.
The mobilization of the social network and use of text messages to call for demonstrations has been witnessed. It will be interesting to follow this.
