Self Publishing

The accessibility and ease of use that Amazon presented on the internet also turned a page for writers who now have the power to publish their own materials. Take for instance a new initiative launched by Borders which allows authors to turn their own blogs andother documents into e-books available on Kindle, iPad and iPhone. If you want your book distributed to retailers, Borders pays you a 100% post retail royalties for books sold on and 95% post-retail royalties for books sold on other websites.  Ideally self publishing companies charge authors anything between $99 to $100,000 to create covers, to market and to distribute books to online retailers.
