If you’re on Facebook, chances are you’ve been invited to help “cap” a mafia boss or been told your friend has found a stray duck. No? Then you’re missing out on one of the most popular features on the social site: Games.
Farmville and Mafia Wars are two of the hottest games on Facebook. According to Ad Age, some 70 million people play Farmville every month. The development companies behind such titles have proved to be some of the fastest growing businesses on the planet. Venture capitalists Kleiner Perkins invested in Zynga, Farmville’s developer, and called it the fastest growing investment they ever made. And they invested in Google.
