The Careerinator

Arnold Schwarzenegger, AKA the Governator

They should really call him the Careerinator. The Austrian Oak has had one of the most varied, astounding careers on the planet. Starting as a professional bodybuilder, he also completed his one year military service in the Austrian army. He was a columnist for two major fitness magazines, starred in a world famous documentary about bodybuilding, provided commentary for bodybuilding events, took up film acting, tried his hand at directing, entered politics and became the Governor of California. Along the way he set up a restaurant chain, started a bricklaying business, started a mail order firm, invested in real estate, and owns part of an investment firm.

Martha Stewart

Stewart’s first career was in modeling, though as she pursued it she acquired a double degree in History and Architectural History. She switched to stock broking, and did well for herself, before renovating a house with her husband. Once that was complete she started a catering business with a friend, before buying her friend out. She also managed a gourmet food store. Later, she wrote numerous best-selling cookbooks and wrote as a columnist for newspapers and magazines, and appeared on major TV shows including Oprah and Larry King. Working with her publisher she launched a successful magazine, which later progressed into a weekly TV show. A website and mail order business extension followed, as well as a long list of other business tie ups. Not bad, considering she also spent five months in prison for an insider trading controversy.

Manny Pacquiao

Aside from being a seven weight world champion boxer, the “Pac Man” has turned his hand to acting, music, and even politics. In May of this year he was elected a member of the House of Representatives in the Congress of the Philippines; that was after releasing two studio albums as a singer, notching up roles in eight films, and winning 51 out of 56 professional fights.
