What is the Dubai Press Club? Who founded it? And why?

The DPC is the first organization to launch Arabic awards for journalistic excellence. The Arab Journalism Awards were “instituted to recognize and encourage journalistic distinction in Arabic media.”
The awards have become an encouragement for journalists in the Arab world, giving them a chance to be recognized for their achievements and hard work. According to the club, the awards will “raise the journalistic benchmark and invigorate journalism in the Arab world.”
