With the 8th installment of the Dubai Film Festival all set to begin this December 7th Kipp takes a look at a network of films that share a connection: parts of the film were shot in the UAE. Doing some research before we compiled this list it became apparent that the UAE is an extremely popular place for filmmakers from the Indian subcontinent-more than a dozen Bollywood, LollyWood and Tollywood films have chosen to shot some scenes in the UAE. With the establishment of Dubai Studio City, the Dubai Film Festival, the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and the Gulf Film Festival, Imagenation and twofour54, the UAE is growing more and more cinema friendly. And as much as film grants and special festivals help budding local directors, working with those international film crews that set up shop here is an excellent hands on way of learning about the art of film making. So without further ado, Kipp presents you six films that were shot in the UAE. Click NEXT to see it.
