Hillary Clinton arrived in the capital earlier this week as part of her Middle East tour. While she is in the country she’ll meet with Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, speak at Zayed University and visit the UAE’s famous green effort, Masdar. The Clinton’s relationship with the UAE precedes Hilary’s current stint in office, of course – it dates back to the days when her husband was president of the UAE. Nonetheless, it has been a considerably more active relationship. Most recently she was reported to have congratulated the Emirates upon the inauguration of the Burj Khalifa saying: “I applaud your commitment to sustainable development. Your efforts to create international cooperation in our global economy are an important endeavour.”
As a former first lady of the United States and currently the US secretary of state, Clinton’s network boasts an interesting mix of politicians, diplomats, actors and singers. Click NEXT to view the Network of Hillary Clinton.
