With Qatar winning the race to host the football World Cup, newspapers surely sold a lot more copies by plastering the image of the glamorous First lady of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah, all over the front pages. Called by some the most sophisticated first lady since Jackie-O, Sheikha Mozah was one of the four Arab women to make it onto Forbes’ list of most powerful women. The second wife of the Emir of Qatar, she is also mother of the current heir apparent. She is a powerful force in the region’s development, having the role of Chairperson of the Arab Democracy Foundation, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and UNESCO Special Envoy for Basic and Higher Education. She has no fewer than five honorary doctorates and a host of interesting people in her network. Click NEXT to see just a few of them.
