The 32-year old sensation is well known for a style of play that won him the “joint-most expensive Indian Premier League contract and a place in English folklore,” according to cricket analysts. But times are tough for “Freddie.” Having moved to Dubai (where he acts as “ambassador, promoting its importance as a centre for tourism and sport”) to recoup from injury, his efforts to return to cricket have suffered yet another blow with the recent news that he will play no cricket this season, despite his hopes of a return.
