Syrian-American Hala Gorani is probably best known for presenting CNN’s monthly “Inside the Middle East.” Gorani has hosted the show for five years and has reported on several pressing issues in the Middle East, from the effects of the war in Iraq to the business of the GCC countries. She’s won praise from many other commentators. In particular, her extensive coverage of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in 2006 won CNN an Edward R. Murrow Award. you fail to note that in the CNN
interview ( the CNN interviewer
was not intelligent enough not to
blow), Mr. Assange politely warned (several times with great patience)
that he would not allow the grave importance of the news he was sharing to be trivialized by the
interviewer’s repeated descent into
cheap tabloid journalism.
