Jaume Punti Dachs hails from Barcelona and arrived in the UAE in 1999 to train endurance horses for Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He is the one of the leading endurance trainer for Sheikh Mohammad as well as the winning trainer of the 160km 2008 World Endurance Championships, Malaysia, and 160km World Equestrian Games, Kentucky 2011. Jaume, apart from being an Endurance trainer is also a highly competitive Endurance athlete. Jaume met his wife, a fellow endurance horse rider at Spanish trainer, Antonio Moreno’s stables in Dubai in 2001. “I met her here in Dubai and we have a lot of common interest. Endurance tops the list but also following Barcelona’s fortunes in the football world is another,” said Jaume, who believes his wife is the better endurance rider.
