Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is very passionate about falconry, camel riding and endurance riding. He has won the 2008 World Endurance Championship in Malaysia and the 2010 World Endurance Championship in Kentucky, USA. Last year, Sheikh Mohammed won the Endurance Master Open in the 2011 edition of Valeggio Sul Mincio in Parco Giardino Sigurtà of Valeggio sul Mincio near Verona, Italy. He is champion of the 160-km European Endurance Race 2012 at Ancona race track in Italy. Sheikh Mohammed won the individual gold title at this year’s Longines FEI World Endurance Championships at Euston Park in Suffolk, UK. The UAE team consisted of Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Ahmad Mohammad Ahmad Belqazi, Ali Khalfan Al Jahouri and another elite rider who was forced out of the ride early during the championship.
