Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum
The Crown Prince of Dubai and the second eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. Sheikh Hamdan went to school in Dubai at the Rashid Private School and thereafter continued his studies in the United Kingdom. He graduated from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and later attended the London School of Economics. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in September 2006. Apart from spearheading the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, he is the president of the Dubai Autism Centre. Well known for his poetry, Sheikh Hamdan’s poems are mostly patriotic and romantic, which he publishes under the name Fazza3. He is a good horse rider and loves camels, cars and skydiving. He won 160km Endurance GB championship (FEI EGB CEI 3 star) in June in London and gold medal in the equestrian team endurance ride in the Qatari capital Doha in December 2011.
