João Victor Saraiva a.k.a Madjer

João Victor Saraiva, well known as  Madjer, is Portuguese beach soccer player representing Dubai’s Al Ahli club, along with Rui Coimbra, skipper Stephan Maier from Switzerland  and Iran’s Hussain Ahmed. He is nicknamed Madjer because his role model is the former Algerian player Rabah Madjer. During the inaugural season of the UAE Beach Soccer league, which was organized by the Dubai Sports Council and the UAE Football Association at the Al Mamzar Beach Park in April this year, Madjer scored three goals  leading the UAE team to victory and won the ‘Top Scorer of the League’ award. At the 2005, 2006, and 2008 World Cups Madjer won Golden Boot for scoring the most number of goals in a league, and he also won the ‘Most Valuable Player’ award of Euro Beach Soccer League in 1999, 2006, 2008 and 2009.
