Maybe you haven’t given much thought to just how beautiful but complicated the lighting system for the Burj Khalifa really is, but let this interview with the man behind the lights be the source of enlightenment (oh come on, we had to)[Don’t do it again – ED].

Speirs, who is the co-founder of Speirs+Major, a UK lighting design consultancy, has worked on several international as well as local projects. Amongst its projects Speirs+Majors has worked on London’s St.Paul’s Cathedral, the Giorgio Armani boutiques in Tokyo, Milan, Beijing and New York, the Burj al Arab and most importantly for our six degrees, the third largest mosque in the world…
