Tennis sensation Rafael Nadal has been in the news for playing rival Roger Federer on a floating court (yes, you read right, a ‘floating’ court – check it out in this video) in the water of Doha Bay as the two kicked off the 2011 ATP World Tour season. Regardless of its setting or seriousness the match was surely a good one for Nadal who was coming off a straight sets win over Federer at an exhibition event in Abu Dhabi on the first day of this year.
But his recent visit to the Emirates wasn’t his first. In fact, Nadal is no stranger to the country, and he has a surprise connection with Dubai many can only dream of.
