Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan

The glamorous Queen Rania is as well known for her impeccable taste in fashion as she is for her determined efforts towards humanitarian causes, most importantly her work to improve women and children’s rights. The founder of several charities, she has spoken against honor killing, and is also an author of three books, ‘The King’s Gift’, ‘Eternal Beauty’ and the New York Times Best Seller and children’s book, ‘The Sandwich Swap.’ Said to enjoy baking, jogging, cycling and water skiing the Queen is known for her down-to-earth attitude. She is quoted as saying: “I just wake up and feel like a regular person. At the end of the day you are living your life for the people that you represent. It’s an honour and a privilege to have that chance to make a difference – a qualitative difference in people’s lives – and it’s my responsibility to make the most out of that opportunity.”
