Sheikh Omar Bin Saqr Al Qassimi is smiling again. The causalities of the financial crisis are abundant – quite unlike the success stories of the post crisis recovery. Meet the anomaly: RAK Airways.  Two years after they had frozen passenger services, RAK Airways CEO Sheikh Omar Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, announced yesterday RAK Airways would be re-launching their services.

Apart from his activities with RAK Airlines, RAK Bank (he’s chairman there, too) and all other things RAK, Sheikh Al Qassimi helped develop the infrastructure for the 33rd America’s Cup, which was to be held in Ras Al Khaimiah in early 2010 before it was moved to Valenica, Spain. During the initial set-up, Sheikh Omar met with several yacht owners including Swiss-Italian billionaire and entrepreneur…
