Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum
28 year old Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum is the Crown Prince of Dubai and the second eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. Studying in the Rashid Private School, Sheikh Hamdan has since attended the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in the UK and the London School of Economics.
Sheikh Hamdan is known for both his skills in the field of poetry and horse riding. Claimed to be an accomplished horse rider, Sheikh Hamdan has won awards at local and international endurance races including a Gold Medal at the Asian Olympic Games.
Currently he is the chairman of the Dubai Executive Council and is the president of the Dubai Sports Council , Dubai Autism Center and the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Readers. Most recently he received the Cannes Award for Education at a ceremony in recognition for his role in the field of education in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
