Russell Wendell Simmons is reportedly the third richest figure in hip-hop, with an estimated net-worth of $340 million.
He last officially visited in Dubai to check out how his Phat Farm stores are doing and to do a book signing for his book, “Do You!: 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success.”
The American entrepreneur is the co-founder of Def Jam, the hip-hop label that started it all. Simons is also the creator of the clothing fashion lines Phat Farm, Argyleculture, and American Classics. His businesses all come under Simmons’ umbrella company, Rush Communications, Inc.
Kipp’s quick research in Simmons led us to this interesting tidbit of him saying the current look and feel of Wall Street reminds him of Dubai: bustling and seemingly always under construction. He was showing off his duplex penthouse at 114 Liberty Street.
