France’s First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and  Melinda Gates have met several occasions during their missions, including one such visit to the hospital “Auberge de l’Amour Redempteur” in Dangbo last year. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was in Benin for a two-day visit with the Global Fund to fight AIDS.

Carla is a staunch supporter of AIDS awareness and research, and has organized and backed several benefit events including the Annual Sidaction AIDS Benefit Gala, where she would have rubbed elbows with this global fashion icon, whom Kipp just recently awarded with his own 6 Degrees…
