You’ll know him for his timeless songs like Lady in Red and My Father’s Eyes. British/Irish singer Chris De Burgh was a guest of honour in one of the episodes of during the first year of Star Academy. Soon after, Chris De Burgh toured the Middle East and even teamed up with Lebanese diva Elissa for the song ‘Lebanese Nights’. Most notably, the 63-year old became the first western act to perform in Iran after the Iranian revolution when the authorities allowed him to perform with Iranian group Arian band in Iran in 2007.
De Burgh’s family is, in fact, quite internationally inclined. His daughter won this title in 2003…
