The rumour mills are churning and it’s gotten all tech lovers extremely excited. The iPhone 5 frenzy is here as another predicted date of its release has been leaked out. Earlier, it was rumoured that it would be released in October but now the date has been moved to August 2012.
The two main questions that are caught in the cobwebs of every tech geek are; is it an enormous improvement from the iPhone 4S and does it compare to the Galaxy S3 which has been described as one of the best smartphones in the world? It is also considered to be one of the fastest selling Androids in 2012.
For Android fans, what most reviewers are saying will get their blood boiling; because the general vibe is that the iPhone 5 will severely cut out Samsung’s latest marvel. The latest iPhone model which is iPhone 4S is one of the top-selling smart phones in the world.
The iPhone 5 is said to be much taller as compared to iPhone 4S due to the rumoured taller screen for iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S is around 115.2mm tall and the iPhone 5 is said to be around 120mm tall. In terms of thinness, the iPhone 5 will be much thinner with 7.99mm as compared to iPhone 4S which is around 9.3mm.
Where most analysts will agree, an area where the Samsung Galaxt S3 has drawn a fair amount of criticism is with its design. The phone is an attractive device but it neither feels or looks like the flagship model that it is supposed to be. The extensive use of plastics on the phones body cheapens the feel of the handset.
The common opinion of tech geeks, reviewers and analysts is unanimous, that if the iPhone 5 is anywhere near the video below then it will surely embarrass the Galaxy S3.
Judging by social media reports, blogs and general opinions many users feel that the Galaxy S3 is definitely a tempting device but curiosity for the iPhone 5 is getting the better of them. However, nobody can make an informed decision until Apple’s anticipated device is officially released. Bottom line is, Samsung better have a strong rebuttal against this.
