Bayt.com has announced it will host an online job fair for employers and job seekers in Kuwait.

As the economic gloom wears on, jobs are becoming precious commodities. And even though the Middle East may not be the worst hit region, it has been affected by the crisis; more than 1,000 people have lost their jobs in Dubai alone.

That’s where Bayt.com steps in. It has announced that it will be hosting a virtual job fair for those looking for employment in Kuwait from January 18-22. The idea of the event is to provide an easy, cheaper and faster way for job seekers and employees to locate work and talent, says Bayt.com. It also says that employers will have the option of accurately measuring the number of people interested in their companies.

Bayt.com will be setting up animated 3D “virtual booths” on the website for different companies participating in the job fair, and each booth will be branded with the exhibitors’ names and logos and will provide information about the company.

There is also an option for job seekers to submit their CVs to companies’, and an option for employers and job seekers to interact online or through video chat.

The virtual fair gives job seekers a good idea of the openings available in the market, and at the same time, spares them the headache of having to make the right first impression (although many employers rely on first impressions).

Bayt.com says 15 companies (employers) will be taking part in the fair, which is open to all.
