Last year, Warne coached and captained his IPL team, Rajasthan Royals – which was generally thought of as the series’ underdog – to victory against the Chennai Super Kings. Warne is working for a repeat performance at the second IPL series, which is currently going on in South Africa.

The former Australian international cricketer is regarded as one of the sport’s greatest leg spin bowlers, and in 2000, he was selected by a panel of cricket experts as one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Century.

Warne has also been involved in several controversies over the years; he has been charged with match-fixing, and was also suspended from the Australian team for a year after being accused of taking a banned drug.

His life story was put into a musical in December 2008 by producer and comedian…
