Eddie Perfect
Perfect, who directed and acted in the show Shane Warne the Musical, managed to get a good review from the cricketer.
“When I first heard about it, I was angry and wondered how anyone could possibly do this – surely people need permission to portray your life as a stage show,” Warne wrote in a review. However, after watching the show, he admitted that “Eddie and his team have written the musical in a respectful and sympathetic way, and that they have captured my fun, larrikin side.”
A composer and musical director, Perfect has also written and toured several shows including, Welcome To The Inside Of Ed’s Head, Cliff Hanger; Catch A Falling Star, Angry Eddie, The Big Con and Drink Pepsi Bitch.
He has also won several awards, including Green Room Awards in 2002 and 2003, the 2004 Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer Award and the Golden Gibbo Award for his solo show Angry Eddie. In 2008 he received another Green Room Award for his portrayal of Alexander Downer in Keating!, a musical which portrays the life of former Australian Prime Minister…
