In July 2007, Yousif Al Ali was appointed general manager of The Dubai Mall, Emaar Properties’ retail heaven within Downtown Burj Dubai, set to open on November 4.
Al Ali holds a Masters degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Australia and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the UAE University. He is the first and only UAE national to achieve and hold Certified Shopping Centre Manager and Certified Marketing Director designations from the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC). Al Ali joined Emaar with eight-years of experience in mall management.
His appointment, among many, proves Emaar’s commitment to Emiratization, the UAE government’s initiative “to provide the right growth environment for UAE nationals to become future leaders,” said…
