UAE unveils economic plan to beat financial crisis
The UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, unveiled an economic plan for the country, and said a series of proactive measures taken by the government would ensure that the UAE recovers from the global financial turmoil earlier than the rest of the world.

“The thrust areas will be industry and government-private sector partnership. Industry, which accounts for 27 percent of our GDP, will be our main economic driver in future. “We are determined to create the right environment for its growth,” he told Khaleej Times.

Mansouri also said that the three-year plan included a flexible framework that can be altered according to local, regional and international changes.
