A new season for football in Gaza
Soccer fans are joyful to see the comeback of the Palestinian Cup after three years.

Most football clubs in Gaza are run by Fatah supporters – and when Hamas took control of the strip in 2007, one of the victims was the game itself.
Gazans have not seen an official match in the past three years, because of the political dispute between the two fractions. But long negotiations between the two resulted in bringing back the game.
“The homeland is bigger than politics, Palestine is bigger than us all, this is the message we are sending today,” a Fatah politician tells Al-Jazeera.
