Israeli troops attack Gaza flotilla

Israeli Navy commandos armed with guns have stormed a flotilla of ships carrying humanitarian aid, international activists, political leaders and journalists to Gaza.

Nineteen people were reportedly killed and dozens injured as the Israeli raid turned deadly when soldiers opened fire with live ammunition on those aboard.

The Israeli military claims that it opened fire in self defense after soldiers were attacked with bats and knives.
