Apple’s iPad finally has a serious rival: the Xoom, from Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc., which went on sale at Verizon retail locations in the US last Thursday.
Verizon will sell the Xoom for $799.99, a smashing $300.99 premium over the iPad’s starting price of $499 – although consumers can bring the Xoom’s price down to $599.99 if they are willing to sign a two-year data contract.
That doesn’t really sound like a super bargain to Kipp, but competition is always good, and there must be something about it worth the price. Watch this video to find out.
