Migrant workers hope for the return of the Gulf’s golden age
Migrants are still desperate to head to the Gulf in search of their fortune, regardless of the high risks.

Countless numbers of migrant workers in the Gulf have suffered in the downturn. Some were fired, some owed months of back pay, and some even abandoned in squalid camps with no money.
But in spite of the dilemmas of those men, many new migrants from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh still want to leave their homes and work in Gulf countries.
