At least 1,100 people have died and thousands are affected as devastating floods hit north-west Pakistan

Pakistan is witnessing the worst rains in its history, and it looks set to cause a public health catastrophe as food is scarce and water supplies have been contaminated by heavy flood waters.
Pakistanis are voicing a desperate need for temporary shelters, clean drinking water and toilets amid complaints that the government response has been slow and inadequate.
