World Cup’s workers face unemployment
The business end of the World Cup will end soon for an estimated 400,000 South African workers, as their temporary work concludes with the start of the tournament.

For three years now, nearly 400,000 South African hires have labored on the construction of the country’s stadiums, airports and roads in preparation for the World Cup. As the tournament prepares to kickoff, those who got the job done are headed for the door.
