World Cup fuels human trafficking
The World Cup tournament has given a boost to the already-rampant problem of human trafficking in South Africa.

Many victims, mostly children escaping poverty in neighboring countries, crossed the borders into South Africa, hoping to find a lucrative work during the tournament. Yet they generally fall into the trap of human traffickers.
Experts say that thousands of people are trafficked annually into South Africa, as legislations tackling this issue are not yet implemented.
