US restaurant chain Denny’s has announced it will open 30 new restaurants in nine countries in the Middle East region over the next decade, as part of its international expansion.
The world’s largest family dining chain (based on the number of restaurants) has signed a franchise agreement with Abu Dhabi-based Advance Investment LLC, an affiliated entity of Food Quest Restaurant Management LLC, to expand across the region.
Advance Investment LLC will have the exclusive rights to open restaurants in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan – with the first restaurant scheduled to be open in the UAE in 2015.
John Miller, Denny’s president and CEO, says significant progress has been made with expanding the brand internationally with the right franchise partners, adding that this agreement is Denny’s first major expansion in the Middle East.
