Abu Dhabi consumer prices up more than 2 percent this year
But analysts say the rise in first four months of 2010 is in line with expectations and reveals easing inflation

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) from the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) revealed easing inflation for the first four months of the year on a strengthening dollar, Zawya.com reports.
SCAD’s April report indicated steady food prices in the face of deflationary pressures amidst the backdrop of a flagging global economy. A lack of wage increases and credit growth were cited as exerting downward pressure on inflation. The report predicted rising oil prices in this year would keep inflation in the low single digits, Zawya.com says.
