At the reception of UN General Assembly president Treki Tuesday in Manama, Bahraini PM Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged Arab nations to unite their diplomatic and political efforts in the interest of securing a Palestinian solution.
The Bahraini prime minister urged Arab nations to unite in pursuit of common goals, achieving greater “leverage in the activities of the UN General Assembly,” according to Wednesday’s Gulf Daily News.
PM Khalifa highlighted UN General Assembly president Ali Treki’s ties with the region and expressed his hope that the latter’s appointment would advance Arab causes. Dr Treki is Libya’s Secretary (Minister) of African Union Affairs, a post he has held since 2004.
