Dubai ex-minister gets suspended jail term for deception
Khalifa Bakhit al-Falasi and two other men charged with defrauding a Lebanese businesswoman.

A Dubai court has handed three men a one-year suspended jail sentence for defrauding a Lebanese businesswoman.
One of them was former minister Khalifa Bakhit al-Falasi, who faced charges of deceiving the businesswoman and taking over her late brother’s stake in a technology firm, according to a report by Reuters.
The decision on Monday overturned a previous appeal court hearing, in which the three men were acquitted.
