Emaar to build Armani Hotel in Milan
Dubai developer plans second venture with Italian fashion designer following the opening of a 160-room hotel in the Burj Khalifa.

Dubai property developer Emaar, which today opened the 160-room Armani Hotel at Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, says it is working on a second venture with the Italian fashion designer.
Emaar plans to open a Giorgio Armani-branded hotel in Milan next year, followed by a property in Marrakech in 2012, according to a Bloomberg report quoting Emaar’s chairman Mohamed Alabbar.
“The Armani hotel will have a positive impact on Emaar’s earnings for years to come,” Alabbar said at today’s launch of the Armani Hotel in Dubai.
In 2005, Emaar secured the right to build at least 10 Armani hotels in cities such as Paris, New York and Shanghai.
