An Emirates plane suddenly dropped 200 feet in the air amid extreme turbulence, injuring 20 passengers onboard a flight between Dubai and Kochi, India, on Sunday.
“EK-530 from Dubai to Kochi encountered a short period of heavy turbulence while cruising at 35,000 feet. It experienced a 200-foot (60-meter) descent in altitude,” the airline said in a statement.
Of the 350 passengers on board, 20 suffered minor injuries, the airline said. The aircraft landed safely in Kochi, where medical assistance was offered.
