Al Kaabi replaces incumbent CEO Tony Orsten, who will stay on as a “board member in twofour54 an advisory role.”
Orsten congratulated Al Kaabi in a Tweet, saying “What a wonderful day. Something I have all been looking forward to for a long time. Noura Al Kaabi is stepping into my shoes. Mabrook!”
Al Kaabi, who is responsible for the Human Development department and Tawasol (the Business Development arm) in the company, will reportedly take over in three months.
Last July, Al Kaabi was added as a new board member at the Abu Dhabi Media Company during a major board reshuffle.
Al Kaabi has been in the limelight for the most part of 2011. She was on Gulf News’ list of up and coming Emiratis called the Hot Forty and she was also on Arabian Business’ 100 Most Powerful Arab Women 2011.
Here’s a clip of Al Kaabi speaking at the Abu Dhabi Media Summit 2011 back in March. This 13-minute video is about her presentation was titled, “Arabian Tales: Our People And Their Stories”
